Looks like Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE owners on Sprint are getting a nice early week surprise, as a new update has begun making its way to the sliding QWERTY smartphone. Once installed, the Photon Q will be bumped up to software version 7.7.1Q-6_SPR-125_ASA-14. This is a fairly small maintenance update, bringing with it only some fixes that are meant to improve the overall stability of the handset.
As is usually the case with over the air updates, the Photon Q's new software is being rolled out in stages, with all units expected to receive it within 14 days. The good news is that any Photon Q owners that absolutely can't wait for the update to come to their neck of the woods can check for it manually by heading into Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Update Motorola Software on their device.
This update may not be a biggie, but just about any update is a good update, especially when it makes using your smartphone a more stable experience. Photon Q users, be sure to stop by the comments once the dust has settled and you've got this new update installed. We'll be down there, patiently waiting for you!
