AT&T announced today that its version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II will soon join its brothers from other carrier mothers with Multi-Window support. In a statement sent to Engadget, AT&T revealed that it'll begin pushing an update to its Galaxy Note II tomorrow, Dec. 27, that'll include the Multi-Window feature. The new software update will be rolled out to users over the air. AT&T's full statement is as follows:

"AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active "windows" creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27."

Multi-Window is a feature that allows users to run two apps from a selected list at the same time, with each app taking up half of the device's display. Both apps can be interacted with normally, giving users the ability to do things like look at their Gallery photos and browse the Internet at the same time. The Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon versions of the Note II currently include Multi-Window support, so it's good to see that AT&T customers will soon have access to the same feature. There are no details on what other changes, if any, will be included in the AT&T Note II's update. Thankfully, it won't be long before AT&T customers are able to head into their Settings, fire up Software Update and dig into the update themselves to find out.
