After both photos and video of the BlackBerry 10 L-Series smartphone surfaced last week, the leaks are continuing today. A new report on Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn contains a bevy of screenshots showing a non-final version of BlackBerry 10. Along with a few looks at BlackBerry 10 itself and some RIM-made apps like the Dialer and Clock, the new photos show some of the new third-party apps for the platform, including Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter. More shots can be found at the Tinhte link below.
In other BlackBerry 10 news, RIM this morning officially sent out the invitations for its BB10 launch event, which we previously learned will be taking place on January 30. As noted by BGR, The gathering will be taking place in New York City for us U.S.-based folk, and RIM has said that it'll unveil its first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones there. Details of those products and the actual release timing for them are still a mystery, but the good news is that after months of teases, we're finally getting close to the official launch of RIM's new platform.
RIM hasn't had what one would call smooth sailing in recent quarters, so I'm sure that the company would like to see BlackBerry 10 quickly take off with consumers. It'll be interesting to see exactly how well the new platform does, especially since it's going up with the likes of Android, iOS and Microsoft's new Windows Phone 8 devices. How many of you are planning to check out BlackBerry 10 at launch?
