The Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean tour will continue on Friday, and this time it'll be U.S. Cellular customers gaining admittance to the fun. U.S. Cellular announced this morning on its official Facebook page that the Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy S III will be released on Friday, December 21. The carrier says that it'll share a link for the update on Friday, and customers will also be able to get it by visiting a U.S. Cellular store with a tech center on Friday.
The U.S. Cellular Galaxy S III is the latest version of Samsung's flagship smartphone to be updated to Android 4.1 in the U.S., following the variants on four other major carriers. It's good to see that owners of the U.S. Cellular flavor of the S III won't be waiting a long time after the other carriers' updates to get its own taste of Jelly Bean, especially since it's being squeezed in before the end of the year. Jelly Bean includes several goodies for U.S. Cellular Galaxy S III owners to look forward to, such as Google Now with its information cards, expandable notifications and Project Butter for a smoother Android experience.
Stay tuned, U.S. Cellular folk, and we'll give you a shout once your Galaxy S III's update goes live.
