Windows Phone users that use the web version of the Windows Phone Store now have some features to tinker with. Microsoft has announced on its official Windows Phone Blog that the web version of the Windows Phone Store now has a few new features, such as the ability to download apps to a microSD card for future installation on a phone. Users also have a new, easy way to reinstall apps on their phone from the web Store, which can be done by signing into the same Microsoft account used to originally install an app, heading into the Purchase History and clicking "Reinstall." Finally, the web Store now has a universal search feature that will display all items (like apps and how-to articles) in one place.
While these new features for the web flavor of the Windows Phone Store may not seem like much, there are instances in which they could come in handy. For example, Windows Phone folk upgrading to a new handset can just mosey on over to the web Store and reinstall their previously downloaded apps from there rather than having to hunt them down on the new device. Microsoft also revealed that the web Store is now available to 37 new countries. The list of countries that now have access includes the likes of Armenia, Honduras, Sierre Leone and Uganda. This expansion brings the total number of countries with access to the web Store up to 112.
