Just one week after we learned that the Motorola Atrix HD would be bumped up to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in December, the update has officially begun rolling out. AT&T has announced on its official Consumer Blog that the Atrix HD's Android 4.1 update is now available for download, making it the fourth handset on the big blue carrier to run Jelly Bean. Included in the update are Android 4.1 goodies like Google Now and improved notifications as well as an improved camera focus, complete with a signal indicating the focus quality.
It's good to see another Android handset joining the Jelly Bean ranks, especially since the update is rolling out just a week after Motorola revealed its December release window. Moto has been pretty good lately about keeping customers in the loop about updates and pushing new software out in a timely manner, and hopefully that's something that we'll continue to see from the manufacturer in 2013. All of you Atrix HD owners that are eager to get your Jelly Bean on can snag this new update by connecting to Wi-Fi and going into Settings > About Phone > Software Updates on your device. Be sure to give us a shout once the update dust has settled and you're running Android 4.1!
