Galaxy S III owners have been the focus of Samsung's update spotlight as of late thanks to the introduction of the device's Premium Suite upgrade, but it appears that the international Galaxy Note II is also on the receiving end of a fairly feature-rich update. SamMobile reports that both the Note II (GT-N7100) and Note II LTE (GT-N7105) are starting to receive an update to Android 4.1.2 that also contains some notable additions to TouchWiz. Said to be included are goodies like the ability to customize the toggles found in the notification panel, including the brightness slider, along with the option of disabling the Multi-Window feature.

There are also a few changes that can be found outside of the notification shade. Users can now enable an "ink effect" on the lock screen that will show a drop of ink when its tapped with the S Pen. There are a handful of ink color options to choose from, including blue, orange, pink, purple and brown. Also said to be included is a smoother built-in web browser, a continuous input option (like Swype) for the Samsung keyboard and a new GroupCast app.

Thanks to the addition of several new TouchWiz features, this Android 4.1.2 update for the Note II looks like a good one, especially considering that users are only going from Android 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. As far as the rollout goes, the update is reportedly making its way to users in Poland currently, while the LTE-enabled Note II update is arriving in Sweden first. The availability of this new software will likely vary by carrier and country, so other Note II owners will just have to be jealous of their Polish and Swedish brethren for now.
