A new report this morning claims to have some details on a few new products that Samsung is cooking up in its kitchens, including a pair of handsets and a new tablet. According to a Korean source speaking to SamMobile, Samsung's is currently referring to its work on the new Galaxy S as "Project J". Details on the device are scarce, but it's suggested that an announcement could come sometime in April 2013, which would be just a little short of a year after the announcement of the Galaxy S III.

Next up, it's said that a "basic" version of the Galaxy Note II is in the works. This model, reportedly planned for a European debut, is described as being a lower-specced version of the Galaxy Note II, perhaps without an S Pen. The aim for this basic Note II may be to get a device with a large screen into more hands, which could then help lead to more interest in a straight-up Galaxy Note device later on.

Also rumored to be coming is a large tablet. Samsung is rumored to be prepping a 13.3-inch tablet with an optional keyboard dock, not unlike the Transformer tablets that ASUS currently offers. Unfortunately, details on this slate are pretty light outside of that, as the source couldn't even divulge which operating system will power it. 

Obviously none of this information is officially official, so it's probably wise just to store all of this away in the "Rumors" section of your mind rather than toss out your existing handset or tablet in anticipation of the arrival of these products. After all, Samsung is a large player in the mobile space, and it likely has several different devices kicking around its labs.

One device that many folks are looking forward to is the next Galaxy S. Considering the success of the Galaxy S line, it's very likely that the next model in the family is indeed being worked on inside Samsung, and an actual debut that's scheduled around a year after the S III's would make sense. Whether or not that actually happens in April is something that's still unclear, but I'm sure that the rumor mill will have plenty more to say about both the new Galaxy S and its potential launch window in the coming months.
