Looks like Jelly Bean's portion of the Android distribution pie is going to grow a bit tonight. Owners of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III have begun reporting that their handset's update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is now available for download in Samsung's Kies computer software, with XDA-developers forum members revealing that the update weighs in at 768MB. Samsung Kies can be downloaded from this page on Samsung's website.
Details on this update are still light since neither AT&T nor Samsung has officially announced and no changelog has been dug up quite yet. Since the AT&T Galaxy S III is moving from Android 4.0 to Android 4.1, though, we know that users can expect to find Jelly Bean features like Google Now and expandable notifications post-installation. We'll be sure to give you a shout if we hear anything more about the update. If you're packing an AT&T Galaxy S III, go ahead and fire up Kies to see what you can find. We'll be waiting to hear all about your update experience in the comments.
