We're quickly becoming familiar with the HTC DROID DNA, also known as the DLX, thanks to the multitude of leaks that the device has appeared in in recent weeks. The Verizon-bound handset most recently had a high-quality press render of itself leak out, and today it's in the news again thanks to an FCC pit stop. There's no straight-up mention of the name "DROID DNA" or "DLX" in the filing, but the label portion of the entry does mention the DNA's "HTC6435LVW" model number, and the test reports also mention Verizon-friendly CDMA and LTE support (as well as GSM/HSPA capabilities for global roaming).
After first being the subject of whispers back in April, recent reports have suggested that the DROID DNA may finally make its retail debut in late November or early December, while pricing could be set at $199.99 on contract. If the DNA comes to market with Android 4.1, a 5-inch 1080p display and a quad-core processor as has been rumored, it could find itself atop the holiday wish list of many a Verizon customer. Now we just have to wait for an official announcement from HTC and Verizon so that we get rid of the easily-erasable penciled in note for the DNA on the calendar and replace it with a more definitive pen-based entry.
