Just a little under a few weeks after details of the Samsung Galaxy Premier leaked out, the Android 4.1-powered handset has been made officially official by Samsung. Many of the features rumored for the device have held true, including a 4.65-inch 1280x720 HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor and NFC support. Also included are 8-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, 8GB or 16GB storage, a microSD card slot, 2,100mAh battery and Jelly Bean beneath Samsung's TouchWiz UI.
One aspect of the Galaxy Premier that hadn't really leaked out before was its pricing and availability. Samsung confirmed those details as well today, revealing that the Premier will start landing on Russian shelves in November and will eventually make its way to Southeast Asia, China and Korea. It'll also be available in the Ukraine in December with a price tag of 5,555 Ukrainian hryvnias, which works out to around $679. There's no word on any sort of U.S. release, but hey, at least we finally answered the "Hey, what's that mysterious GT-I9260 device?" question.
