For week 33 in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the Samsung Galaxy S III continued to hold its #1 spot as the readers' choice in top smartphones and the Apple iPhone 5 once again took the #1 spot in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart. Do these super smartphones have what it takes to remain #1 in their respective charts over the holiday season?
MT PLEASANT, SC – Tallying votes from both readers and experts, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) continues to set the standard in ranking the market's best smartphones. In the People's Choice chart for week 33, the Samsung Galaxy S III held off the competition to take first place once again. And in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 widened its lead over second with 46 total expert points, beating the Samsung Galaxy S II by 11 expert points.
The #2 phone in the People's Choice Chart for week 33 was the Samsung Galaxy Note II (global), which only trailed the Samsung Galaxy S III by only 55 total votes. Dropping to third this week was the Apple iPhone 5, which beat the HTC One X by 40 votes. For the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Samsung S III took second place with 35 points. In third was the Samsung Galaxy Note II (global) with 32 points, dropping the HTC One X to the #4 spot with 22 points.
