The Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro was one of four Samsung-made devices that AT&T announced at the tail end of September, and like the other three products in the quartet, the only Rugby Pro availability information shared by AT&T at the time was that it'd be available "in the coming months." The big blue carrier finally spilled the beans today, though, revealing to Phone Scoop that the Rugby Pro will be available both online and in stores on October 21. It'll feature a price of $99.99 with a two-year contract.

When it comes to specs, the Galaxy Rugby Pro includes a 4-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED display as well as 5-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras on the outside of its body. Buried inside is a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4G LTE and Enhanced Push-to-Talk support, 8GB storage, a microSD slot and an 1,850mAh battery. The Rugby Pro comes preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is also built to 810g military specifications, meaning that it's shock resistant, dustproof and waterproof in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. All of this adds up to make a device that may not cause bleeding edge Android lovers to drool, but it ought to be able to take a beating from folks that have a tendency to be tough on their phones.
