The LG Nexus 4 has starred in a number of leaked photo shoots and been the subject of several rumors, and at this point, we're not exactly strangers to the device. For folks interested in a preliminary look at just how the still unannounced device performs, though, the site Onliner has posted an early review of a prototype version of the E960 Nexus (to the left in the image above) that it's already posted images of. In its report, the Nexus is said to be somewhat buggy and the camera reportedly suffers from some software flaws. The site is quick to note that this is a prototype unit, though, and the software has yet to be optimized.

In terms of specs, Onliner says that its handset contains a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) processor and 2GB RAM, both of which match up with previous rumors about the device as well as the Optimus G that it's said to be based on. We're also told to expect 8GB of storage, no microSD slot, an 8-megapixel camera, microSIM support and a 4.7-inch 1280x720 IPS display (previous reports have said that the resolution is 1280x768). 

Finally, the report touches a bit on the design of the LG Nexus. The phone measures 134 x 69.2 x 9.2mm, coming in a hair shorter and wider than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Both the front and the rear of the LG Nexus are said to be flat, which is different than the Galaxy Nexus's curvy exterior, and the backside reportedly resisted scratching when a key was taken to it. The face of the LG Nexus does feature a notification LED at the bottom, and there's said to be a black plastic ring around the outside of the phone, with a small plastic chrome ring in front of that and closer to the front of the device.

While the previous batch of leaks have given us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the LG Nexus, this latest report on appears to fill our knowledge of the device just about to capacity. There doesn't seem to be much else about the phone itself left, though there are a few non-hardware details left unanswered, like pricing and availability as well as whether or not this is the only Nexus handset we'll see this year. Google is reportedly planning to announce this LG Nexus on October 29, so we've still got a couple of weeks to wait before official word may drop.
