The rumblings of a 32GB Nexus 7 variant have gotten louder today, as one Japanese Twitter user claims to have been sent the device instead of the 16GB model that he ordered. A photo posted by @oppese purportedly shows a Nexus 7 with 27.58GB of space, which is around the amount of storage that would be left after the OS is loaded onto the device. The unit is said to have arrived in a box labeled for a 16GB Nexus 7.

Additionally, the 32GB Nexus 7 has begun appearing in more retail store inventory systems. Last week the device was discovered in Carphone Warehouse's computers, and now Twitter user @Rage06 has shared an image that shows a listing for a 32GB Nexus 7 in an inventory for Currys/PCWorld in the U.K. The 32GB N7 features a price tag of £199.99 in the system, which is the same price that the 16GB model now sits at.

Obviously this 32GB Nexus 7 isn't official until the folks at Google make it so, but the evidence of the slate's existence is starting to pile up. There's still no word on when we might see this more capacious N7 announced, but if you've been considering picking one of Google's Jelly Bean-powered tablets up and think that you might like to have space for things like movies and large games, it may be wise to wait a few weeks to see if El Goog come forward with the goods.
