Even with other devices moving up and down the Official Smartphone Rankings this week, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus global maintained it's fourth place position.
"Gets updates fast, amazing screen, ergonomic, and excellent performance." By MALCOLM BATES on October 3, 2012
I live in Canada, so I don't get the same carriers as the US does. I was looking through the phones I could get at the time. I had 2 in mind. The Galaxy s2 lte, or the Galaxy Nexus. I'm glad I chose the Nexus. The first thing I noticed was the spectacular display. It was sharp, clear, and the contrast was ridiculous. Blacks just disappeared. I also noticed how comfortable it is. It feels excellent in the hand. The only 2 problems I had was that the screen scratches easily and there's no micro SD card slot. Reception is good and so are data speeds. I consistently get 5-7mbits per second. Not as good as LTE, but still excellent. Battery life is okay. It can get me through a day with the brightness down. Call quality was also very good on both sides of the line. The main reason I got this phone, though, was Ice Cream Sandwich. It is so smooth. Jelly Bean made it even better. Performance was also good, if a bit behind other phones. Overall, I would say that the phone is rock solid, and easily one of the best you can get.
