U.S. Cellular today began selling the LG Splendor, an Android 4.0-powered smartphone that we got our first peek at one week ago. The LG Splendor is currently available from U.S. Cellular's website for $79.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate and two-year contract, and those interested in checking the device out IRL before buying will be able to do so when the Splendor hits stores on September 12. That's not a list that'll make the spec hounds drool, but the Splendor looks like a respectable entry-level phone, and it could be an option for folks looking for a device with a larger screen that'll also be easy on the wallet. If the Splendor sounds like it'd be up your alley, you can find it on U.S. Cellular's website right here.
