The Samsung Galaxy Note II's expected August 29 unveiling may only be a couple of days away, but that doesn't mean that we don't have time to squeeze in one more rumor about the device. According to a report from Seoul Newspaper, the next Galaxy Note smartphone (model number GT-N7100) will feature a 5.5-inch display, a slight bump from the original Note's 5.3 incher, along with a resolution of 1280x720. An 8-megapixel camera is said to be on the Note II's backside, while we're told to expect a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor and either 16GB or 32GB of storage buried inside its body. Other purported Note II specs include 3G/4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Several of these specs line up with previous rumors, including the 5.5-inch display and quad-core chip, though this report's camera megapixel count is slightly lower than the 12-megapixel shooter that's been rumored in the past. While this latest report is obviously still unconfirmed, the features listed inside it seem plausible. It'd certainly be nice to see the Note II launch with Jelly Bean in tow, and if the international Galaxy S III's Android 4.1 update does indeed come shortly after Samsung's Unpacked event like has been rumored, a Note II preloaded with JB could happen.
