Heads up, Nokia Lumia 900 owners, because a shiny new software update is coming your way. Nokia has announced on its official Nokia Conversations blog that it's released new update for the Lumia 900 that includes a new flip-to-silence feature as well as enhancements to the phone's startup sequence, battery performance and camera performance. When it comes to camera usage, Nokia says that Lumia 900 users will be able to more reliably open the camera from the phone's lock screen with the dedicated camera key after installing the update.
Once your Nokia Lumia 900 has received its update notification, you can plug the device into your computer to begin the update process. Windows users will need to use Zune for Windows to install the new software, while Mac folk must fire up Windows Phone 7 Connector to get the update ball rolling. Nokia says that this update will actually include three separate updates that must be installed, adding that the whole shebang will take around half an hour to complete. Got a Lumia 900 of your own?
