The LG Optimus Vu was originally introduced way back at MWC in February, but it looks like the 5-inch phablet will finally be making its way stateside sometime in the next month and a half. In a new press release, LG has revealed that the Optimus Vu will be hitting the U.S. with LTE in the third quarter, which wraps up at the end of September. Unfortunately for U.S.-based lovers of big phones, LG didn't offer any specifics about a launch date or which carrier(s) will release the Vu.
So which U.S. operators might the Optimus Vu make its way to? Well, photos of a Vu sporting branding for both Verizon and Verizon 4G LTE made their way online last month, so Big Red seems to be as good a bet as any. Now interested customers just have to wait for LG and Verizon to actually, you know, announce the thing. Thanks to today's press release, at least we know that the 5-inch, 4:3 Vu will be here before the end of next month. The Korean PR revealing today's news at can be found at the LG link below to help pass the time until we hear more about the U.S. Optimus Vu.
