Good news for anyone that started reaching for their wallet when rumors of a black Samsung Galaxy S III began circulating last week, as a U.K. retailer has revealed that the device is indeed the real deal. In a blog post on its website, Mobile Fun explains that it will offer the Galaxy S III in black, which it describes as "fantastic." The black Galaxy S III's product page on the Mobile Fun site shows that it's expected to be in stock some time in the next 4-6 weeks, with pricing set at £499.95 (around $783) for the 16GB SIM-free model.
The Galaxy S III has only been available in Marble White and Pebble Blue (and Garnet Red on AT&T) since its launch, so today's news is exciting for folks that've been wishing for a darker version of Samsung's flagship handset, even if this isn't quite an official product announcement from Samsung. It's worth noting that the black Galaxy S III posted on Mobile Fun's site is the international, GT-i9300 version. There's no word yet on when or if this model will hit the U.S., but hey, at least now you've got around a month to save up your pennies for this device if you've been dying for a black variant of the Galaxy S III. What do you all make of the black Galaxy S III? Would any of you pick one up if it landed stateside?
