It's Friday, which means another work week is coming to an end, and today we've got a couple of Android device leaks to help you finish the week out on a good note. First up is the Pantech Star Q, a new sliding QWERTY handset that's headed for Verizon. The images you see above were shared by the folks at Android and Me, who have also gotten hold of a few of the Star Q's purported specs. This Android 4.0.4-powered slider is said to feature a 4-inch WVGA display and front-facing shooter on its face, as well as a 3-megapixel camera on its rear. Also included is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 5-row QWERTY keyboard and Verizon 4G LTE connectivity. There's no word yet on when the Star Q will hit shelves.
Next up we've got another 4G LTE handset, and while this model isn't going to Verizon, it does look like one of Big Red's previous devices. Below is the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G, a phone that's MetroPCS-bound. Bearing a bit more than a passing resemblance to the DROID Charge, the Galaxy S Lightray 4G has been leaked in several product slides by an Android Forums member. The Lightray is rumored to feature a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, 16GB microSD card, DyleTV, mobile hotspot and MetroPCS 4G LTE support. We're told to expect the Lightray sometime in August, and a Howard Forums user also discovered that the phone may have already gotten FCC approval as the SCH-R940.
So there's a couple of new Android phones to keep an eye out for. While the Pantech Star Q doesn't look like it'll be competing for the title of "Most High-End Phone on Verizon," it will provide QWERTY-addicted Verizon users with another option for a new handset and will likely do so at an affordable price. As for the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G, this unannounced device should make for a nice addition to MetroPCS's 4G LTE lineup, especially for customers in the market for a phone with a larger display.
