Been thinking about picking up the HTC One X on AT&T? You may want to put that credit card away for a couple of days, as RadioShack has told us that it'll be cutting the price of the One X to $99.99 on Sunday, July 29. The price drop will take effect at all RadioShack locations nationwide. RadioShack also revealed that it'll be kicking off its $30-$300 Trade & Save Promotion on Sunday. The promo will give customers anywhere from $30 to $300 when they trade in a working phone and purchase a new postpaid handset with a new or upgraded two-year contract. That offer will run through August 11. A rumor has claimed that AT&T will also reduce the price of the One X to $99.99 on Sunday, but the carrier has not made any official announcements.
The HTC One X originally launched on AT&T in early May and is currently priced at $199.99 on contract. It packs features like a 4.7-inch 1280x720 Super LCD display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 beneath HTC's Sense 4 UI. With those specs and a $99.99 price tag, as well as the fact that the One X is sitting at the number two spot in both the People's Choice and Experts' Choice in PhoneDog's smartphone rankings, the One X is definitely worth considering for AT&T customers looking for a new smartphone. Any of you AT&T folk thinking about pulling the trigger on a $99.99 One X once Sunday rolls around?
UPDATE: An AT&T spokesperson has confirmed to PCMag that the carrier will indeed be dropping the price of the HTC One X to $99.99 on Sunday, July 29. The price cut will be part of an AT&T promotion for the back-to-school period.
