At CTIA in May, Kyocera took the wraps off of the Hydro and Rise, two new Android 4.0-powered handsets. We recently learned that the Hydro is headed to Boost Mobile here in the U.S., and now we may have an idea of where the Rise may be going when it makes its way stateside. According to the @evleaks Twitter account, the Rise (model number C5155) will be headed to Sprint. As you can see up above, this leaked Rise render features SprintZone and Sprint ID apps on its home screen. The Rise is also allegedly going to be released on Virgin Mobile. However, there's no word on when the phone might launch on either carrier or how much it might cost.
As far as specs for the Kyocera Rise go, this slider features a 3.5-inch 320x480 display, 1GHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 2GB storage, 512MB RAM and a 1,500mAh battery. Also included is Android 4.0 and, as you can see in the leaked image, a four-row physical QWERTY keyboard. While it's not yet clear what the Rise's official price tag might be, a device with a spec sheet like that doesn't seem like it should put too much stress on your wallet. We'll keep an eye out for official announcements from Sprint and Virgin Mobile and let you know when something comes along.
