Sprint is scheduled to officially flip the switch on its 4G LTE network in five markets tomorrow (though some areas are already live), and it looks like the Now Network may be planning a deal to help customers save some cash on a new handset to access that network. According to an image sent to BriefMobile, Sprint is planning to increase the instant discount for the Galaxy Nexus from $200 to $250, bringing the final price of the handset down to $99.99. The price cut is reportedly going into effect on July 15 and will extend through September 15. The screen in the photo also mentions that Sprint's free Galaxy Nexus extended battery promo has been moved to August 19 to coincide with the arrival of a Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery Bundle.

While Sprint has several different options for customers in the hunt for a new LTE-enabled smartphone, a $99.99 Galaxy Nexus could be a good option for folks looking for an affordable device that still has higher-end features, like a large 1280x720 display. Owners of the device also have an Android 4.1 update to look forward to, as Google recently said that all Galaxy Nexus devices are up next for Jelly Bean. Of course, this price cut is still a rumor for now, but luckily we only have to wait until tomorrow to find out if it is the real deal.
