Looks like Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet owners have a reason to celebrate this week, as the slate is now in the process of being updated to Android 4.0. The update began rolling out on Monday and brings with it all of the goodies that come with a bump to Ice Cream Sandwich. That means ThinkPad Tablet owners can expect Face Unlock, Android Beam, new lock screen actions and improved multitasking.
When the ThinkPad Tablet launched last August, it did so with Android 3.1 in tow, so it's nice to see the slate finally upgraded to Google's latest dessert, even if ICS will soon lose its title of newest Android dessert. A ThinkPad Tablet Forums admin says that most ThinkPad Tablet owners have already received the update, but if your slate has yet to receive its own helping of Android 4.0, you may want to mosey on into its settings menu and check for it manually. While you're waiting for it to install (or if you're just the curious type), a larger list of the changes found in the ThinkPad Tablet's Android 4.0 update can be found right here.
