Remember that Motorola DROID BIONIC update that we told you about a week ago? Looks like it's finally begun rolling out to users, as reports from Droid-Life as well as our own comments section show that some BIONIC owners have received the 5.9.905 update. The new software, which weighs in 42.5MB in size, brings with it recalibrated call and tone volume to make Bluetooth use more comfortable, improvments to Visual VoiceMail and a reduction in data stalls that should lead to better 4G LTE connectivity.

It's also worth mentioning that a couple of LG Lucid owners have reported that that handset's update has also made its way to their neck of the woods. The update brings the Lucid up to software version VS840ZV6 and includes an improvement to the weather widget for more precise location coordinates and enhancements to the dialer and GPS widgets as well.

Maintenance updates are always a welcome sight, and it's good to see both the DROID BIONIC and Lucid get some love from Verizon. As for Android 4.0 updates, Verizon has said that the Lucid is upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich but hasn't yet said when that update might happen, and Motorola recently said that the BIONIC's ICS update is expected to hit early in the third quarter of this year. We'll pass along more details on those updates when we get them.
