When ASUS first announced the Transformer Pad 300 series back in February, it said that the slate would be made available in both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE variants. So far only the Wi-Fi model has hit store shelves, but the LTE-capable version of the tablet got one step closer to its own retail debut recently thanks to an appearance in the FCC. According to the filing, the Transformer Pad TF300TL boasts support for HSPA on the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands as well as 700MHz and 1700MHz LTE compatibility, all of which are used by AT&T.
We've already seen AT&T release Android-powered tablets from companies like HTC, Pantech and Samsung, so it's good to see that an ASUS-made slate may soon be joining the Big Blue family as well. Of course, it's worth noting that just because a device is in the FCC with AT&T-friendly bands doesn't guarantee that it'll actually launch on AT&T. For AT&T customers in the market for a new LTE-enabled tablet, though, it may be worth holding off on making a purchase until we hear more about this TF300TL.
