Pay attention, Sprint folk, because it looks like a Now Network policy change is in the works. According to a leaked document sent to TechnoBuffalo, Sprint is planning to axe early upgrades on Friday, June 1st. Currently, Sprint allows some customers that are 10-14 days out from their scheduled upgrade to move to a new device early. That policy will be going away once the calendar flips to June, though, as Sprint says that high costs have led to the decision to take the program out of commission.
While it's definitely kind of a bummer to see Sprint canning its early upgrade policy, this change doesn't seem quite as major as some of the other policy tweaks that we've seen from Sprint in the past. The good news is that we've gotten wind of this new change a tad early, so some of you may be able to get in on an early upgrade before June 1st rolls around. For everyone else, it looks like you'll just have to practice being patient until your upgrade date rolls around.
