Samsung just wrapped up its Galaxy S III event in London, and while the company did confirm that its new flagship handset will be making its way to the U.S. this summer, there was no mention of which carriers will be offering the GSIII stateside. That hasn't stopped the rumor mill from churning, though, with The Verge reporting that their "people close to the matter" have told them that Sprint will be among the group of operators offering the Galaxy S III in the U.S. No specific launch or pricing details were mentioned. 

While nothing is officially official until Sprint makes it so, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Galaxy S III arrive on the Now Network. Sprint has had variants of both the original Galaxy S (Epic 4G) and Galaxy S II (Epic 4G Touch), and I'm sure that Hesse and Co. would like that trend to continue. As for specs, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sprint's GSIII pack LTE support when it does arrive. After all, Sprint's got that shiny new LTE network launching soon, and I'm sure Samsung would also like the GSIII to include LTE connectivity since Sprint already plans to offer a high-end HTC device with the same feature. The question is, what name might Samsung and Sprint be cooking up for this GSIII variant? We'll let you know more about that and other details on the rumored Sprint Galaxy S III as we get them.
