Less than a month after Acer put its Android 4.0-powered Iconia Tab A510 up for pre-order, the tablet has officially been put up for sale. The Iconia Tab A510 is now available for purchase directly from Acer's website for $449.99, the same price that the company announced when it kicked off pre-orders back in March. Your hard-earned $450 will get you a slate with a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display, 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 5-megapixel rear and 1-megapixel front cameras, 32GB storage and Ice Cream Sandwich, as well as a 9,800mAh battery powering the whole thing.
Speaking of Ice Cream Sandwich and Acer tablets, Acer has announced on its support site that the Android 4.0 updates for both the Iconia Tab A100 and A500 are right around the corner. Both updates are scheduled to begin rolling out here in the U.S. on April 27th.
So good news all around in the world of Acer tablets. It's good to see the company showing love to folks that are members of the Acer Tablet Owners Club with the A100 or A500, and for anyone that's still in the market for an Android slate, the Iconia Tab A510 looks like a nice option for folks in the market for an Android slate thanks to its Tegra 3 processor the fact that it's packing ICS out of the box. If you're thinking about picking up an A510 of your own, you can find that always tempting "Add to Cart" button right here.
