Sprint announced earlier this month that LG Viper 4G LTE pre-orders would begin on April 12th, and after consulting my calendar and moseying on over to Sprint's website, I can confirm that that is indeed the case. In addition to kicking off pre-orders for the Viper, Sprint has confirmed that the device will officially launch on Sunday, April 22nd. If you feel like you need to get your hands on the Viper as soon as possible, though, Sprint says that customers that pre-order will begin receiving their handsets as early as Friday, April 20th. The Viper 4G LTE is priced at $99.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract.
The LG Viper 4G LTE will come to market packing features like a 4-inch 800x480 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, support for Sprint's 4G LTE network and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. While it may not be quite as high-end as Sprint's other LTE handsets, the Galaxy Nexus or EVO 4G LTE, the Viper still looks like a capable handset, and its $100 on contract price tag is tough to beat. Sprint's PR announcing the Viper's launch date is available below. Any of you thinking about pre-ordering the LG Viper 4G LTE?
