Last week an image from Best Buy's internal systems showed that the Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX's updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich were due on April 4th. However, it's now April 5th and RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners are without ICS, so obviously the upgrades didn't happen like the leak claimed it would. A Best Buy tipster has reached out to us to provide an update on the situation, sharing a photo of a new version of the BBY page that shows that the updates have been delayed. There's no mention of when the updates may be pushing out.
The news of this delay is kind of a bummer for RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners that were hoping for a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich this week. It's not all bad news for the RAZR crowd, though, as a leak from last night detailed a new maintenance update that reportedly entered its soak test today. We've yet to hear when that update will begin rolling out, but it's better than no update at all. Meanwhile, it doesn't look like the Android 4.0 upgrade for the HTC Rezound has been delayed like the RAZR's has, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Thanks, Derrick!
