Earlier this month a rumor claimed that a device dubbed the LG Optimus Elite is headed to both Sprint and Virgin Mobile, and now images of both variants of the handset have surfaced to corroborate that report. The two phones are expected to feature spec lists that include a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 800MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and NFC support. No word yet on pricing, though Pocketnow suspects that the Virgin Mobile model shouldn't cost more than $100. The Sprint model is expected to be arriving shortly, with the Virgin variant rumored for early May.
The Optimus Elite may not pack the most bleeding edge specs, but it looks like it could be a nice, affordable option for folks in the hunt for a new Sprint or Virgin Mobile handset. The inclusion of NFC is nice to see, and it'll help Sprint to reach its goal of releasing 10 devices with Google Wallet support before the year is up. Now we just need Sprint to make this thing officially official so we can get a full spec list and some pricing details. Whenever that happens, you can bet that you'll be the first people we tell.
