Been impatiently waiting on the edge of your seat for HTC and Sprint's April 4th event? We don't blame you. If a new rumor from Android Central is to be believed, though, the wait may just be well worth it. According to a source speaking to the site, HTC and Sprint are planning to show off a new device that may be dubbed the HTC EVO One at their gathering. The new handset is said to feature a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 16GB storage, 4G LTE, Beats and Android 4.0 with Sense 4. We're also told to expect a microSD slot, kickstand, black and red body and a 2,650mAh battery (of the non-removable variety) powering the whole show.
This isn't the first time that we've heard that a One X-like device may be Sprint-bound, as a rumor from earlier this month claimed that the Now Network is prepping a One X variant with specs similar to the ones mentioned above. However, one of the differences between these two reports concerns the device's launch date, as this new rumor alleges that the device will hit on June 6th while the previous one pointed toward June 10th. Obviously this is all still very much unconfirmed, but if it holds true, Sprint customers interested in a new handset may have a tough decision to make between this and the Galaxy Nexus. The good news is that HTC and Sprint's event is just one week out, so it won't be long before all is finally revealed.
