Heads up, T-Mobile customers. Some new images have been sent to our hombres at TmoNews showing that T-Mobile is planning to bump up the price of its Classic Premium 5GB Promotional Bundles and Ultra 10GB Promotional Bundles by $5 each next month. The price increase is scheduled for April 4th and will affect both the 5GB and 10GB Classic data bundles that come with mobile hotspot service included. As you can see in the image below, the Premium 5GB Smartphone Mobile HotSpot Classic plan that's currently priced at $30 per month will go up to $35 per month on April 4th, while the Ultra 10GB Smartphone Mobile HotSpot Classic plan will be bumped from $60 to 65. The change won't affect customers that sign up for one of the included plans before April 4th rolls around, and T-Mobile adds that the pricing of its Value data features isn't changing.
So why the change? T-Mobile says that the move will align the data plan pricing of its Classic and Value offerings, which will help it to "achieve Value mix targets and [its] financial goals." It's never awesome to hear of an imminent plan pricing increase, but $5 isn't a huge jump, and the good news is that we've been made aware of the changes a little over a week before they'll be going into effect. If you're a T-Mobile customer that's been thinking of signing up for one of these plans, you're now on a timer to make your decision.
