Heads up, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer owners: The official ASUS Twitter account has announced that the original Transformer will begin receiving its update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich starting tomorrow, February 24th. No other details about the push were mentioned.
ASUS also took the time today to release a couple of teasers for what it's planning to show at Mobile World Congress next week. The first clip is titled "Divided we stand, together we rock" and shows a few Russian nesting dolls being placed inside one another. Is that a hint at the you-can-dock-your-phone-in-your-tablet Padfone? Could be, especially since it's expected to make the trip to Barcelona. The second video, called "Twice the detail, twice the fun," shows a box being filled with several small balls to reveal what looks like the home screen of a tablet, suggesting that a high-res slate is also in the cards.
So good news, right? Owners of the original Transformer were told that they'd be getting bumped up to Android 4.0 after their Trasformer Prime-toting brothers, and folks have been clamoring for more news on the upgrade ever since the Prime's ICS update landed. Now it won't be long at all before everyone that's still holding on to the OG Transformer will get a taste of Google's latest dessert. If you need help passing the time until the update begins rolling out, you can find ASUS's two MWC teaser clips down below.
