Remember that Motorola DROID Bionic soak test we heard about recently? At the time, it was speculated that it was for a maintenance update that was version 5.9.902, and now Verizon has posted a changelog for an update featuring that same build number. According to the list, Bionic owners can expect quite a few fixes and enhancements, including improved battery life and data connectivity, as well as a couple of preloaded apps. Want to check out the full changelog? We've got it for you below.
Overall it sounds like Bionic folk are about to get a pretty worthwhile update. Sure, the inclusion of some preloaded apps may be a bummer to some, but I'd say that all of the stability improvements and other fixes that are also included make the 57.6MB update tough to resist. No word yet from Motorola or Verizon on when this new software will be rolling out to users, but you can always grab your Bionic and Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates to see if there are any updates waiting for you. Be sure to give us a shout in the comments below if you have any luck in pulling an update down from the sky!
