The iPhone is currently available on three of the four major U.S. carriers, with T-Mobile being the only operator that doesn't officially offer the device. That hasn't stopped over one million customers from bringing unlocked models onto the Magenta network, though, despite the fact that they're stuck with EDGE data speeds. As a result, T-Mobile will begin offering additional customer support for the iPhone on January 30th, according to a document leaked to our pals at TmoNews. The doc explains that this expanded support will include "common procedures, information about feature and specifications, and other basic device questions."
Good on T-Mobile for taking the extra step to make sure that their customers get any help that they may need, even if they're using a device that isn't even sold by T-Mobile. Whether that'll change with the introduction of the new iPhone is still a mystery, but hey, those of you that just can't wait any longer can rest easy knowing that T-Mobile will do its best to help you out while you use an unlocked iPhone on its network. Are any of you currently toting around an iPhone on T-Mobile?
