Motorola has already announced that several of its handsets, including the DROID RAZR, will eventually be bumped up to Ice Cream Sandwich. What we don't know about these updates — besides exactly when they'll be coming, of course — is how Motorola plans to tweak Android 4.0 for its own devices. That changes today, as a version of Android 4.0.3 for the GSM Motorola RAZR has surfaced, offering an early peek at how Moto is mixing ICS together with its own skin. There are a few Motorola-specific icons to be found but there are also several unskinned elements, suggesting that this is an unfinished build of the OS. Unfortunately for DROID RAZR owners eager to give this a go, the leaked build is only meant for the GSM variant of the RAZR.
It's not a shock to learn that Motorola is planning to skin Android 4.0 when it pushes the update to its devices, especially considering that CEO Sanjay Jha recently said that carriers don't want a ton of stock Android devices and that there's no money to be made in releasing a ton of unskinned handsets. Plus, we've already gotten a preview of how Samsung will add its own special touch(Wiz) to ICS. As for what you see above and below, it's nice to get an early look at how Motorola is making Android 4.0 its own. That lock screen looks pretty interesting, right?
