Last month we told you that Sony would be updating both the Tablet S and Tablet P to Ice Cream Sandwich, but at the time there was no word on when precisely the updates may begin rolling out. Now we've got a better idea of when the push may begin, as a report out of The Verge today claims that Sony is planning to bring Android 4.0 to the tablet pair this spring. That's around the same time that the company expects to start releasing ICS for some of its Xperia handsets.
As if the wait for Ice Cream Sandwich wasn't hard enough for Tablet S and Tablet P owners, today's report also mentions that Sony has "some really cool unique bits" that it plans to mix in with the ICS updates for its tablets. There's no word on exactly what those "cool unique bits" might be, but now that we know that they're coming, I think spring may suddenly feel a tad farther off than it did a few minutes ago. How many of you own either a Tablet S or Tablet P?
