When Verizon officially confirmed that it was going to be offering the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, there were two important details left out of the announcement: an official release date, which we're still waiting for, and a price. Today it looks like one of those mysteries has been solved, as the Wall Street Journal is reporting that, according to "people familiar with the matter," the Verizon Galaxy Nexus will be priced at $299.99 with a two-year contract. Unfortunately, those same sources didn't have the goods on just when we'll be able to thrown down $300 for the GalNex, as the WSJ simply says that the phone will be coming "this month."
News of the Galaxy Nexus's price isn't much of a surprise considering that $300 is pretty much the standard for Verizon's high-end 4G LTE devices and that we've seen several leaks point to that price tag already, but we're not ones to complain about getting even more confirmation. So now that we know exactly how much we'll have to pony up for the device when it arrives, the Great Wait for the Verizon GalNex Date can continue.
