It's now been a little over a month since Verizon confirmed it would be launching the Galaxy Nexus this year and, although a couple of unboxings and a first impressions post showing off the HSPA+ model have helped pass the time, most of us are still on the edge of our seats waiting for Big Red's 4G LTE variant. We're still without any official Verizon Galaxy Nexus release information as we inch closer to December, but the folks at Droid-Life have posted up some photos and other goodies to make the wait easier. Up above you can see an image of the backside of the VZW GalNex, complete with Verizon 4G LTE branding. There are also a couple of screenshots below from the same device that show how it's been chewing through battery life.

In addition to posting a photo, the owner of the device up there reports that an update to Android 4.0.2 was pushed to test devices within the last day or so. It's not clear what fixes or improvements the new software contained, but it's good to hear that the Nexuses (Nexii?) in testing are still being tweaked and improved on their way to retail shelves. 

So there's your latest serving of Verizon Galaxy Nexus leaky goodness. This isn't the first time we've seen the Verizon branding found on the rear of the LTE Galaxy Nexus, and although many of us would prefer there be no carrier branding whatsoever, at least the branding that is present isn't terribly offensive and (perhaps most importantly) is nowhere to be found on the device's face.
