The Samsung Galaxy Note turned heads when it was unveiled way back at the beginning of September, thanks mostly to the fact that it features a 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1280x800. Samsung has stayed mum on U.S. availability of the Note since then, but today a new leak has shown that the device may soon be bringing its big ol' screen stateside. The folks at Pocketnow have obtained images of a device that appears to be a Galaxy Note resting on a desk, complete with a stylus peeking out of the bottom right corner of the phone's body. However, like most Samsung handsets that first launch overseas and then eventually come to the U.S., the phone in these images is featuring a set of four capacitive keys on its face rather than a physical home button like the one found on the international version of the Note.
This isn't the first time we've been tipped to the existence of a Samsung handset by a photo of the device resting on a desk, as a similar photo of the Focus S leaked out over a month before the phone was actually made official. Unfortunately, there's no branding to be seen on the Galaxy Notes in these images, and there's been no word on precisely when the giganto-phone might be hitting our shores. It'll be interesting to see if the Note actually does come to the U.S., though, especially when it comes to which carriers might end up offering it. Would any of you be interested in snagging a Galaxy Note if it came to the U.S.?
