Earlier this week we learned that the Motorola DROID 4 may be launching as soon as December 8th, news which caught some folks off-guard due to the fact that the DROID 3 just made its way to market back in July. Today another leak has surfaced to add fuel to the DROID 4 rumor fire. An image sent over to Droid-Life shows that training for the D4 has begun at Verizon indirect retailers and, although the photo doesn't explicitly show December 8th as a launch date, it does suggest that the new 4G LTE slider may not be far off.
Although it'll definitely be a bit of a surprise to see Verizon launch the DROID 4 in just a couple of weeks, doing so would give Big Red a high-profile 4G LTE QWERTY smartphone heading into the holidays. The Stratosphere launched back in mid-October, but it's seen as more of a mid-range handset, and the D4 could be a good alternative for folks that are interested in a DROID RAZR but need a physical keyboard. Any of you think that you might be interested in snagging a DROID 4 as a nice little holiday gift to yourself if it does indeed launch next month?
