Thanksgiving is nearly upon us here in the U.S., but there are likely many Android fans out there that'd gladly pass on the turkey for a taste of a Tegra 3-Transformer Prime sandwich. Today we've gotten another tease of the new ASUS tablet in the form of a video hands-on, this one from YouTube user rubberotter. The video offers a fairly thorough look at the Prime that includes a walk around the hardware, a software tour that includes benchmarks and Riptide GP demo, and even a thickness comparison with both the original Transformer and the iPad 2. Peep the full 6:34 video down below.
So when might you be able to get your paws on a Prime? We've yet to hear an official date out of ASUS, but GameStop today is showing both its Transformer Prime bundle and the plain ol' Transformer Prime with a release date of December 9th. ASUS has only said that the tablet will be coming in December, so I wouldn't go taking the 9th off of work just yet, but it's definitely a date to keep in the back of your mind.
Overall the Transformer Prime looks like its shaping up to be a pretty desirable little device. Some folks might be bummed out that it'll ship with Honeycomb on board instead of Ice Cream Sandwich, but ASUS has said that an update to Android 4.0 will be pushed as soon as the code is approved, so that's something to consider if you're on the fence. Now that the Transformer Prime has been official for a couple of weeks now and we've gotten some early previews of it, what do you all think of ASUS's latest docking wonder?
