It feels like it's been a while since the Motorola XOOM 2 has been in the news, though that may just be because it leaked several times in a three day span at the end of September. Either way, the XOOM 2 is back in the news today. The folks at Droid-Life recently posted the image you see above, showing that two Motorola devices featuring the model numbers MZ609 and MZ617 have made their way into Verizon's internal system. Both numbers popped up in a Cellebrite earlier this month, the former being the Fleming/XOOM 2 Media Edition and the latter being the Pasteur/XOOM 2. So what can we learn from this newly-leaked photo? If it's to be believed, the 8.2-inch XOOM 2 Media Edition will 4G connectivity and be available with either 16 or 32GB of storage while its 10.1-inch sibling will come in 16, 32, or 64GB configurations, all of which will also include LTE support.
There was nary a mention of either of the new XOOMs at Motorola and Verizon's recent event, so the date on which we might see these tablets officially unveiled remains up in the air. At least we've got leaked photos to keep us entertained in the mean time. Any of you think you might be interested in picking up either of these follow-ups to the original Honeycomb tablet?
