It was just a few hours ago that we were talking about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and that, although there was some evidence to support the rumors of it coming to Verizon, nothing had been officially announced. Now that's changed, as Verizon has confirmed that it'll be launching the Galaxy Nexus "later this year." No other availability details have been given.
As I mentioned before, many have suspected that the Galaxy Nexus would be calling Verizon home, but the fact that nothing was announced at the GalNex's unveiling combined with Verizon's history with the Nexus line led some to worry that Big Red might end up missing out on another flagship Google phone. Now that we know that that's not the case, the wait for someone to announce release date and pricing information is on.
