See that rectangularly-shaped object up there that kinda sorta looks like the outline of a phone? That right there is the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime, which has been spotted passing through the FCC under the name GT-I9250, the device's model number. As with most FCC filings, there's not much hard info to be had here, so don't go diving into the FCC's website hoping to find photos of the actual device or a spec list or anything like that. It is worth mentioning, though, that the filing does show that the GT-I9250 is packing support for both AT&T and T-Mobile bands here in the States.

One of the important things that we still don't know about the next Nexus is precisely when it'll come to market and bring with it a tasty Ice Cream Sandwich. Heck, now that Samsung and Google's Unpacked event has been postponed, it's not clear when we'll see ICS and the Nexus unveiled. But the GSM Nexus has passed through the FCC, which is a big milestone in any handset's life (sort of like a kid learning to walk or an awkward teenager's first kiss). So that's something to get excited about.
