The last time we spied the Motorola Admiral, the unannounced device made a brief appearance in an introduction video on Sprint's official YouTube channel. The clip was quickly yanked as someone noticed the mistake, but the good news is that the Admiral has made a detour to the harbors of Leakland on its way to Sprint once again. There's not a ton of new information to be gleaned from the images, but the source of the shots does shed some light on how the portrait QWERTY handset handles, saying that it's "awkward to hold due to the bottom being so thin and the phone being very top heavy."

For anyone interested in a spec refresher, the Motorola Admiral is rumored to be packing a 3.1-inch display, 1.2GHz single-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 720p video capture, 1,860mAh battery, and Android 2.3 beneath Motorola's custom UI. That's not a bad batch of features, and the Admiral is sure to please more than a few push-to-talkers on Sprint's Direct Connect service when it launches. When exactly that'll be is still a bit of a mystery, but we'll be sure to pass along the details when we get them from Fleet Admiral Hesse and Co.
